Last leg of Georgian Bay

A spectacular morning!

We got an early start out of Wrights Marina in Byng Inlet.  The weather was perfect, no wind, calm waters and we were off.  I noticed as we were motoring along at the trees along the way.  Because the wind comes off the Bay the trees are permanently growing to look as if the wind is blowing all the time.  It's an odd site to see.

This is a house with a view
The weather has been so pleasant.  Cool with temps in the 60's and 70's.  When out on the water though long pants and hoodies were in order, it's a bit cool.
Long pants and hoodies were the attire of the day

It was a perfect day for some long hours of cruising.  The water was like glass, the temperatures cool and the wind pretty non existent.  We couldn't have asked for better conditions.

Love me some clouds

The water was so calm the first mate was actually able to read without getting sic

Our lines

Good day for picture taking
Captains new toy

Killarney Bay, tried to anchor out in a cove out here but they were full up. This is off the bay itself.

So back to Killarney proper we went

Love that smile
Our plans were to anchor out in a small cove just outside of Killarney, but when we reached the cove it was pretty full up, so back to Killarney proper we went and decided to tie up at the docks of the Sportman's Inn.  There we met up with our friends from Sea Bear and also saw, Always Home, Penny Pincher and Mazal Tug.  Killarney is the last stop before the North Channel.  A good place to stock up and do laundry.

Ended up docking here at the Sportsman's Inn

Hey look who's here, Sea Bear.

After dinner on board we went for a walk through town

An old house along the way

We were so glad to see that in Killarney there was a town that we could get out and do some exploring.  After dinner on board we took a walk.  The town isn't big, but it was more than what we have seen in the past week.  We stopped for ice cream, imagine that and then visited with Pam and Mark from Sea Bear as they were on their way to dinner.
The old store

They had to build the sidewalk around the rock.

This one didn't quite make it.

More Rock and some greenery

On our way back to Lady J
The view from our dock early this morning.  Yes we are parked next to the fuel dock

There she is at the end of the dock.

We have decided to stay another day here in Killarney as the weather is questionable and traveling on the weekend is just not our thing.  So a good day to rest up and do some odd jobs.

Again another beautiful sunrise.  Who knows what the day will bring.
