Last minute STUFF

Bleeding the lines.
Wow I really should update this more often.  It seems updating Facebook is so much easier, but I know that not all folks are on FB so I will update everyone on the last months "doins".  So here are some updates on what we have done so far in the past month.  We spent about 4 hours bleeding the hydraulic lines for the steering.

New arm rest
Mike added a really nice arm rest to our state room seating.  Which now will seat up to 4 really close friends in a pinch, 3 people comfortably, 2 with plenty of room or just one Boat Diva :) who likes to spread out.  (that would be the first mate)

A gorgeous double rainbow one evening.
The month of May was a busy one at the apartment.  First Mike and I finished up our responsibilities at our part time jobs.  So yes now we are "officially" retired.  We were then free to spend more time getting ready to leave.  Needless to say there were the list of Doctor and Dentist appointments that needed completed before we left.  Along with making sure we both had enough meds to get through 10 weeks.  (Getting older is not for sissies)  Unfortunately amidst these appointments Mike's back went out so he spent 4 days flat on his back with pain killers.  After an MRI and a visit to the ortho doc he was released to go back to normal activities, just not to over do it. We squared up our rent for the next 3 months, cancelled our internet service and had them put a hotspot on my phone.  (Must watch those minutes, gigs, or whatever it is they keep track of)  Mike ordered a laptop (his first) and has learned to use it quite well.  Definitely likes the mobility of it over the desktop he had.  Still have a few things left to do in our final week.  Clean out the garage to get the car in it, return library books, have an early Fathers Day celebration with the kids and grandson, and then a baby shower for our youngest daughter.  And wait until the auto pilot is delivered (yes it was supposed to be delivered last week and now won't be shipping until the 6th (ugh!!!)
We had some birds that wanted a free ride.

We are currently back a the boat working on painting the flybridge deck and the Captain (Mike) is teaching the First Mate (Jana) how to maneuver the boat around in tight places.  And of course working on some little last minute changes, updates etc.  Boat work is NEVER done.  The count down is on and we can hardly wait.

Scrubbing the Fly Bridge Deck before painting.

Must get in those tight places.

What an improvement.
