Flushing the water system. |
Back up at the lake for a couple of days. Lots to do before May 5th launch date. Engine work to complete, hoses to replace, water systems to flush out. Then there is the fact that EVERYTHING for the last 6 months has been stored on the boat and I mean everything! Plus the fact there is 6 months of dust and crud build up that needs to be cleaned up. But oh what a wonderful thing to work on. The first night we were here the temperature was only 36 degrees. Well when you live in a house that is no big deal, but on a boat that has no insulation well that gets a bit "chilly". Even keeping a cup of coffee warm is a bit of a challenge. But with our trusty little space heater we were able to keep different parts of the boat warm, at least those parts we were in at the time. More work will continue today.
So much activity going on here at the marina. Everyone preparing their boats for scheduled launch dates. May 5th will be here before we know it so it's back to work for the crew of the Lady J. But always enjoying those spectacular sunsets.
